I was looking around at the library last night and just happened to stumble on Little Britches. Remembering the reviews I had so recently read, I decided to check it out. I haven't seen so much foul language in a book since I read the unedited version of The Red House Mystery. So, I don't recommend the books. If language doesn't bother you, by all means go ahead and read. It's something along the lines of Little House on the Prairie. Ralph Moody is the main character in the story of his life.
Now as a bonus topic: Do any of you have cats? Do your cats eat roses? When my grandpa got me roses for my birthday and when my Dad got roses for my mom, our cat ate them. What in the world?
I haven't seen those books yet, but I don't think I'll be reading them!
ReplyDeleteYes, we have two cats, but neither of them have ever tried to eat roses. That's interesting. lol! =D
Have a great Wednesday, Emily!

hehe, well, in all my years of owning cats, I have never seen a cat eat a rose...we have had several cats that enjoyed a variety of garden vegetables like zuchinni (very handy when we grew too much! lol) and cucumbers and strawberries...then again, I have never had roses around my cats...so given the chance, they might just join your cats in the flowery feast! :)
ReplyDeleteI really liked "Little Britches" it was a series we read as a family when I was a young thing. Of course my mom read it out loud and she was good at editing things like language.
